I broke out in an itchy rash about two weeks ago. My doctor prescribed a steroid that got rid of it, but now that I am no longer taking the steroid, the rash is back. I can't think of anything different in my diet over the past 2 weeks, and my laundry detergent, shampoos, soaps, etc. have remained the same as well. Ideas?

I found one thing that can cause a considerable rash are the fabric softener sheets most of us throw in the clothes drier.
While accidentally having the sheet inside a piece of clothing would really cause a severe rash, I developed milder rashes simply for using these sheets.
Once I stopped using these things, my problems disappeared.
Perhaps before going through extensive allergy testing, you might try drying your clothes in the drier without using any of those sheets...
I've been doing it that way for several years now, since I can't tell the difference in fabric softness anyhow, it helped me with my rashes.

Do you still have the steroid prescription bottle? Look up the name of the steroid in one of those pill description books or on line and read the list of things they are prescribed for. If the information is too vague, call your doctor and ask him/her. Happy scratching

if you live in a cold climate it may be because of your water. Try not using hot hot water in the shower but still use warm.
