some products are harmful to your skin because they are too harsh. a good product to get rid of acne scarring is proactive repairing lotion. you can buy it at the mall or online. it's also sold with a skin care system that prevents future acne problems. i own the system and highly reccomend it.

Not really, some skin care products can do terrible damage.. possible to make it worse when you have acne scar. My friend had that too. and she broke out from using a product ( when she wasn't allergic). Then she started using Proactive, it took her a while to see results, but now her skin is healthy. I recommend using Proactive, or talking to a dermatologist (if things don't progress the way you want them to.)

It is important to use skin friendly products and not pinch the pustules so that there are no scars formed. A good soap like Neutrogena or Cetaphil is recommended. Mild oil free skin creams should only be used . This link should provide more remedies.

You have to attack acne where it starts, with your diet. For me, diet was the cause and solution. Topical medications fight the symptoms. Start by eliminating trans fats and eating more fruits and vegetables. Once you start cleaning up the inside of your body, by eating properly, the outside of your body (your skin) will be get cleaned up too. I started a website to document my problem and solution.

You might find it helpful to read my story. Just remember to eat an all natural/organic diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from processed foods. Use mild, all natural cleansers and don't pick at your face. Get lots of sleep and enough water for your body weight. Remember, clean body = clean skin. While you're waiting for your skin to clear, remind yourself that acne is a challenge that you will overcome soon. Once you're rid of it, tell all your friends how you did it. That's what I'm doing. God Bless.

your mom speaks the truth when she says it may harm your skin. It depends what you use, but I'm using Clearasil right now, and it seems to help. I recommend using a cream, preferrably Clearasil Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream. It really made a difference on me without causing damage. Good Luck!
