I've had whatever you would call ADD for a long time and definitely do believe they're are some of us who live with this as a burden or a useful device. I'd love to hear some experiences and share some of my own. For me it has been my own funny movie made for the viewers(the public, family, etc.), not so much for myself. It does give me my personality, but the damaging decisions and confusion that come with it have hurt me as well. If anyone wants to share Please

I live with the disease (and it is real, by the way). It is in no way a character flaw or something that is wrong with you. It is a medically-defined disorder. With medication and counseling, you may begin to see progress and you will be able to better concentrate. Your counselor will be able to suggest techniques to help get work done. PLUS, schools (especially universities) have programs to help you. If you attend college, you can register at your school's Office of Disability Accomodation (ODA) and you can be elligible for distraction-free environments for testing (and up to time-and-a-half for test-taking), note-takers, and other helpful assistance to help you survive and thrive.

Hi, I've got ADHD. I'm in eighth grade, but keep reading, don't keep going because you think I'm young. I have always been "different", you know odd, not many friends etc. etc. I started on Adderall about 4-5 monthes ago, and before that Concerta. I feel good, and I'm a different person. I don't want to get bogged down w/ meds, but they help me out and I'm the person I want to be I guess. And, I think the medicine really brought me out in an academic sense. I've gotten all A's since first term and I LOVE it!
