Some people believe that before leaving the realm of this world and going into the realm of the next that the souls or spirit my stop in to say a final farewell to loved ones, by giving them a sign or a glimpse of them. I personally don't believe that they can hang out, but go directly to wherever they are supposed to go immediately at death.

I have been there when two people very close to me have died. I felt as though they were with me for a short time after they passed on. I do not believe they stay with a person for an extended period of time, only very brief.

There are only two places a soul goes when it passes from life to death. One is heaven the other place is hell. If a person is a child of God, this meaning they have accepted His Son as Savior, they pass from life into heaven and life eternal. The Bible says, 2 Cor. 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

We do keep our loved ones who have passed on from this life close to us by keeping their memory alive in our hearts.

If your loved one was a child of God they are with Him forever more. You can be sure of seeing them again where there will never again be a parting by accepting Jesus as your Savior.

Uh. No.

Spirits don't exist. If they did, we could have to concede that animals have spirits as well because we are all living things, after all the only thing that makes us different from animals is that we kill more.

Spirits = electicity in your brain.

Yes this true, it's when they first die, they seem to come and go at first. Usually for some, it's that they don't realize that they are dead yet.
