Go! But just buy a few modestly priced things. Be very selective. I've been in the "rich" area before, and wanted to treat my friends. I would have been offended if they hadn't bought anything or if they wanted a $400 Kate Spade bag. Tell her you're thrilled and then say you'll pick up the tab for lunch. Then invite her over for dinner. So just don't go overboard and offer to do something nice in turn.

You were friends before she became rich, so she knows you're her true friend and not using her. Go! If buying you some things makes her happy, do it. You can reciprocate by making her a nice dinner some other day. A little effort from the heart will show her you appreciate her.

Go for it, and LIMIT yourself to take only few items you really need. Just don't be greedy, she will be happy and know you're still friends with her not because she become rich.
Make her a cute card from the scratch and tell her how lucky you feel to have her a s a friend.

I've been in a similar sitsuation a few times, do something to let them know your greatful, like if you arew out shopping and stop for coffe you pay for the coffee, granted it's only 8 bucks but it makes a statement that your thinking of them too...At least in my mind
