Your dog should be fine. Usually if a flea shampoo is safe for cats, it is safe for dogs.
You just cannot use a dog flea shampoo/products on a cat unless it says "safe for cats"

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

Pet shampoo is basically made from the same ingredients. It's like the cheaper brand items you find in the supermarkets. Roughly the same as the dearer brand name items but packaged differently to make them cheaper. Lets just say that your dog won't start purring or meowing. :()
