Exfoliating works, if you keep using proactiv then it will also heal scars. If you have the money there is lasering you can do. My aunt did it and it worked great!

Hey, Jorge! You are among friends. Last summer, my face vomited up acne and now I am left with small dents. I just saw my dermatologist the other day and was given the whole six months talk. I still have a little pink but you say your have just scars left? Well, if price is not a concern try the Fractional Laser (Mine isn't so bad and I can put if off as I don't have $1500 dollars to spare as of now.). You may have heard of this procedure . . . my derm mentioned that it has a minimum downtime and reduces the look but my derm was honest enough to tell me that there are no guarantees. She said to go back in time when your actual acne stopped and add 6-12 months for the skin to resurface and then try the treatment. Go for it! When you look it up, look up "Active FX" or "Deep FX" laser treatments. In the meantime, keep up your regimen to keep zits at bay and try Mederma (Hey, any little bit helps). God bless you. I'll pray that your acne situation gets better. Pray for mine. Take care!

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

This may seem weird coming from a 14 year old but...
I had scars too and they went away in a little less than 4 months. (And was later voted "Best Skin" at my Junior High School) Go out to Wal Mart or something and buy some 'Vita K', Vitamin K or D pills and/or cream. Use that or 'Body Clear' creme (which is a mixture of both) and works miracles.
You shouldn't try to expose yourself to too much sunlight, but you should get a daily exposure (about 15 min.). Drink lots of water, eat lots of nuts (walnuts are best), and any kind of pure fruit juices and you can eat veggies like cucumbers, celery, fennel, chard, and romaine lettuce.
You should also find a good facial scrub or masque to remove dead skin and oils that may keep your scars from healing properly.
(I know all of this from experience and research. I had bad skin at 12 and I stopped it, MYSELF at age 13. (about 4 months ago) Your body needs certain bacteria and acids to maintain its natural state. There are many other tecniques and tricks you can do to stop acne and properly remove scars. I haven't seen a pimple since, so I'm scar free. If you need to know anymore you can email me at pink_panther_gurl_81@yahoo.com )
Hope I helped!

I heard that Vitamin E can clear scars. I don't quite remember what site it was from but I will do some research for you...
Ok, here it is.
http://health.teenfx.com/article.cfm?ar_id=69433%26prod=53%26sec=9%26qz=1%26ar=1%26pl=1
And here is another more informative site.

And I'm not sure if it works like they say it does, but I've heard of some kind of laser treatment that they can do to remove or reduce the appearance of scars. You can look that up on the internet. Or even ask a dermatologist.
I hope I helped.

I used an exfoliator for twice a week when i had acne scars. And also it's good to use a moisturizer with an spf so when you go out in the sun, your scars wont get dark.
