Click Start -> Run and type "msconfig". Under the "Startup" tab, unselect whatever you don't want to load. Reboot. A dialog box will appear saying something about the configuration being changed. There's something you need to select and click "No" or "OK" to not start the configuration editor again. It's all rather obvious if you read the dialog box. Good night!

Using MSCONFIG.
1- CLICK Start > Run
2. Type MSCONFIG in the "Open:" box and then either press enter on your keyboard or click on the OK button.
3. This launches Microsoft's System Configuration Utility. Click on the Startup tab (the tab at the far right)
4. This takes you to a page with a list of "startup items." Startup items are programs that are automatically loaded every time you turn on your computer. Some startup programs are absolutely necessary, others are simply a waste of RAM.
Essential programs are loaded through something called "Windows Services." This means that most of the startup items you see in XP are completely optional and can be turned off. (IF I was you...For now, i will disable everything and just leave the Antivirus)
5. Click on the OK button.
6. A message will pop up telling you that you must restart your computer before these changes will take effect. Click on "Yes" and your computer will automatically reboot.
7. When your computer reboots or restarts...there is going to be a pop-up window telling you the msconfig utility was used..Just check the box at the bottom and click OK..
YOU ARE DONE..
This is a video of how is done..check it out

Hi. Click on "Start> Run> " and enter msconfig into the box, then enter. This will open a window. Click on Startup and uncheck the programs you do not want to start. Click OK OK and reboot. You will get a warning window. ignore this until you are sure you like the way it works. Next bootup just click the "Do not show" box. Good luck.

There are various techniques yet right this is one: a million. launch Command on the spot start up > All classes > upload-ons > Command on the spot 2. Open gadget Configuration type in 'msconfig' into command on the spot (without the apostrophes) then enter. it would launch gadget Configuration Window 3. opt for those classes you do no longer choose for to autorun bypass to Startup tab. basically uncheck those classes you do no longer choose for to run on startup then hit word.

I recommend the use of the Windows startup manager http://www.neosoft-tools.com/windows-startup-manager.htm
It disables any startup programs and fully controls startup by selecting the programs to be launched, while customizing the startup settings (ie how often and when programs should be launched, etc).
Here you can read about startup programs (if in manager not information):

To do this: cl Start, cl Settings, cl Taskbar and Start Menu.
- cl Start Menu, cl Customize, cl Remove.
- cl the icon for the program you wish to remove
- then cl Remove.
- This will prevent the program from loading at startup, but will not remove the program from the hard disk.
