I'm a lutheran, and just wondering if all denominations of Christianity will go to heaven, because I think a few denominations say that you will not go to heaven if you don't follow there guidelines. But I believe that as long as you believe Jesus is our savior, you'll go to heaven. So anyway what do you think about all denominations of Christianity going to heaven? (unless your not Christian)

Jn 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Jn 14:7 If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

Jesus is the Way, With out Him we do not have eternal life. Pure and simple as His Words are, people try to make it complicating but it is not hard. Accept Him in your heart and be saved today.

As far as denomintions go it is not about denominations, it is about a personal relationship with Him.

This is what I feel about it, please don't get offended! I know people get excited because they go to a certain denomination, but the way I see it the denominations are becoming the idols within the church. Baptists, Methodists, Lutherans, and all of the others have their own rules about how things should go and how we should serve God. Let me ask you this, did anybody ever think to say let's see what the Word of God says about it? I know you have to have order in everything but I think we took God's order out andinfused man's order into things and now it's a mess. It's time to go back to the Word of God and fall on our face in prayer and cry out to God to help and keep us holy and acceptable in His sight, not man's. The church is so carnal now and look like the world until the world don't want anything to do with God. This means that the church has now become a stumbling block to the people. When I say the church I mean as a whole lump, because believe it or not that's how God sees us. It's not Baptist section is doing this and Methodists section is doing this. But it's a corporate thing to God, and I know He's not please. I can tell by the way some of the Atheists are talking that the church has became a joke to them. A lot of them have been hurt by christians and instead of showing the love of Christ that He showed, we throw hatred, bitterness, anger towards all people who are not like us. God is not in this and we're making God look bad to people. How do I know Christ want us to get over our religious selves? What did He do to Peter. He gave Him a dream and it made Him realize that the Gentiles were just as worthy to take on the love of Chhrist as the Jews were. We are o worried about getting to Heaven until we really miss out on the two key things that will get us there. That's is the love for God and the love of others. No matter what denomination, race, religion. We are all God's creation and once we can embrace that we won't have room for hatred. So your question shouldn't be wha denom will go to heaven , but how can I get out of religion and into the kingdom of God and how do I love everybody where they are and not because they are like me. God Bless You, let's make a difference in this generation.

Deacon said it best!! Denominations ARE man-made. Jesus wants a relationship, not a religion. It doesn't matter what denomination you are, when Jesus judges you, He doesn't get His church directories out and check for attendances!! Jesus looks straight to YOUR heart!! When denominations matter is what church is feeding your mind and heart and if it accepts the Deity of Jesus. If not, do not attend that church that is dead. There is no hope their if it does not teach you are saved by the blood of the Risen Christ. Sin cannot enter heaven and neither can you unless you've been washed clean by the blood of Jesus!!

First of all denominations don't go to Heaven, people do. That being said if you're a real Christian you will go to Heaven. Who is a real Christian? I'll explain to the best of my ability:

Now the reason for this post is my concern that there probably are many people that think they are Christian but really are not that either post here or at least read what is posted. I believe it is important that we all, this includes myself, check ourselves to make sure we really are saved (1 John 5:13).

Things that don't make you a Christian:

1. Being a good person. So many people think they will go to Heaven because they don't really do many bad things. That doesn't matter. If you ever looked or even thought about a person with lust you have committed adultery (Matthew 5:28). If you ever hated someone you have committed murder (Matthew 5:22). If you ever stolen anything, even something small, you are a thief. To top things off here if you even break one commandment you are guilty of breaking them all (James 2:10)! God says there is no one that does good, no, not even one (Romans 3:12). Our "good" works are like filthy rags to him (Isaiah 64:6).

2. Being raised by a Christian family. All because you may have saved family members doesn't mean you get a free ride. I can promise you that you won't find a verse in the Bible to support that kind of thinking.

3. Going to church and/or getting baptized and/or making a confession to a priest. No works will get you into heaven. It is a gift of God so no one can boast God tells us (Ephesians 2:9).

I'm sure some of you by now are thinking "So what does make someone a Christian?". This list is just one item long.

1. You must trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior (Romans 5:1).

I don't want to just leave it at that since people sometimes read some bizarre things into statements like that. Some people may just simply not know what that means.

Jesus who is God took human form. He lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15). Something we all know we can't do (Romans 3:23). He paid the penalty for us by dying on the cross (Ephesians 1:7). Ever since Adam and Eve first sinned we have all been tainted (Romans 5:14). This pain and suffering in the world is because of our sin. Even the earth has been effected by sin (Romans 8:22). The great thing is things will be made the way God intended. There will be no fighting or cancer. We won't have people starving or worrying about paying their bills. We won't be messing up in life like we do now.

This may sound too easy, well think about it. To be saved you have to deny that your good works won't help you to get saved. You have to say I'm sorry of my sin and Jesus, you are my Lord (Luke 13:3). That means there has to be a very humble heart involved otherwise a person will never be saved (James 4:6). Being humble doesn't come easy in this culture.

There will be no denominations in Heaven. No where does the Bible say that a certain denomination will or will not go to Heaven. Heaven is for those who have accepted the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross as the payment for their sins. Contrary to a lot of beliefs works cannot get you into Heaven because they are as filthy rags in the sight of God. The only way to heaven is by accepting Jesus Christ as your payment because there is no other way because we are all condemned. Call me bigoted or whatever that some of you will but Jesus Himself said in the book of Matthew chapter 7 and verse 14 "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it." (emphasis added)

There will be some from all denominations that will go to heaven, but not all Christians will go to heaven. You are right acceptance of Jesus as Savior and following him in sincere heart and mind and having a relationship with him is how you go to heaven. Remember the verse in the Bible that says "but Lord, Lord, I did these things in your name" Jesus responds, "away from me, for I knew you not"

Just because someone is a church goer or a even a pastor/priest, doesn't guarantee them Heaven.

ONLY faith in Christ alone, asking Him to be your personal savior will guarantee Heaven.

I truly believe there will be Baptist, Lutherans, Methodists, Episcopalians, Catholics.. and the list goes on in Heaven.

I also believe there will be people who go to Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, Episcopalian, Catholic, etc... churches who won't. It's about a personal relationship with Christ, not about a denomination.

Edit: I just wanted to add that I'm Southern Baptist and LOVE my denomination. I'm a Christian first, a Southern Baptist second. I'm Southern Baptist because I find that is the type of church that preaches the world, wholey and true. Not that some others don't, it just fits me. ANY CHURCH that preaches the Lord truly is great.

once you relatively get into the recent testomony it turns into particularly obvious that there are assorted standards to salvation - and a few of them are contradictory, some are a sprint obscure, and a few are ... properly, seem it up. Vagueness sucks, and in case you purely take one or 2 scriptures you're able to make the case that purely people who try this or that gets into heaven. i do no longer think of this is staggering. maximum folk shouldn't think of this is staggering the two, yet a large type of folk will argue that each and every person you may desire to do is proclaim the call of God, settle for Jesus as Lord and Saviour, and you will bypass to heaven. What approximately "faith without works is lifeless"? properly, it relies upon on the type you interpret it, would not it? How approximately donating all your earthly products and "following him" - what share christians do this throughout the time of recent times? I strongly urge you to study the claims those human beings make, so which you're able to make your very own *recommended* judgements. lots of evangelicals use guilt and emotional manipulation particularly of high quality judgment and reason... one wonders why? Me, i've got spent over a decade of my residing discovering christianity, and it by no potential ceases to amaze me how many human beings have self belief lots of stupid issues. stable, trustworthy, non-judgemental christians are like nuggets of gold amidst mendacity, hypocritical trash. stable good fortune wading in the process the muck and grime. What will heaven be like, what will we do?
Who will be there? here is some answers to those questions about heaven.

(Luke 20:27-35) 27 However, some of the Sadducees, those who say there is no resurrection, came up and questioned him, 28 saying: “Teacher, Moses wrote us, ‘If a man’s brother dies having a wife, but this one remained childless, his brother should take the wife and raise up offspring from her for his brother.’ 29 Accordingly there were seven brothers; and the first took a wife and died childless. 30 So the second, 31 and the third took her. Likewise even the seven: they did not leave children behind, but died off. 32 Lastly, the woman also died. 33 Consequently, in the resurrection, of which one of them does she become [the] wife? For the seven got her as wife.” 34 Jesus said to them: “The children of this system of things marry and are given in marriage, 35 but those who have been counted worthy of gaining that system of things and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage.

(1 Corinthians 15:50) 50 However, this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s kingdom, neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

(1 Corinthians 15:40-41) . . .heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies; but the glory of the heavenly bodies is one sort, and that of the earthly bodies is a different sort. 41 . . .

(1 Corinthians 15:35) . . .: “How are the dead to be raised up? Yes, with what sort of body are they coming?”

(Revelation 5:9-10) . . .blood you bought persons for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”

In the first place, there is no such thing as a Christian denomination. Jesus died for one faith, that is faith in Him as the Son of God. Read the account given in John chapter 17 and tell me that Jesus is a fan of denominationalism. He prays for unity, that we might all be one as He and the Father are one. Jesus is not a fan of division which is what denominationalism does. All true Christians know that Jesus died for one church and that all his followers understand that He gives the orders, not man. His followers belong to the one body(the church) after having obeyed the Lord's plan of salvation. Division comes when people do not want to do things God's way.
