My weim pup loves for me to get in the floor and play rough with her, as if I was another dog. Is this a mistake? Will this make her more aggressive or less affectionate with other members of the family?

Rough play will make the dog more assertive not aggressive.
They will learn through play waht behavior is acceptable and what is not. If they are nippy each time they nip you tell them NO BITE and for a second hold the muzzle colsed lightly. They learn that nipping is not acceptable and as they age learn not to do it ti humans.
The problems is that what is acceptable to one person is not always to another and if they play rought with one they will play that way with everyone.
Think about having a 70 pound dog play the way you are right now and think if that will be ok or not.
Mine look like they are having a dog fight in the yard.
The Weim jumps on my Doberman and body slams him to the ground. They growl and bite each others necks and chase each other. No one is ever bloodied and they just like to play that way. But at my house they type of play is not ok with people only with the other dogs.
My weims both hunt and are not allowed to play tug with humans but they can plat tug with the other dogs. They never will tug with a bird. Each dog will cime up and put the bird in your hand. But with each other they will tug for hours.
You need to decide what you are willing to accept for behavior as a adult dog and regulate your play from there.

It will make her a more aggressive player which can be a problem if you have kids. It wont make her a more aggressive dog tho if you make sure she knows your the boss. Aggressive play in a wolf pack is a form of favourtism with the less dominant dog but it is also a way of establishing dominance without getting really nasty. Just make sure you always win and your the one who says enough and stops the play when you want to.

There's nothing in the world wrong with getting on the floor to play with your puppy. However, you do need to watch how rough you play - that can and does lead to aggression, depending on the dog's temperament.

My brothers played too rough with my parents' Vizsla (the Weimaraner's cousin) and the dog ended up being too rough and bitey as an adult. Instead of playing rough, try playing ball (a cooperative game) instead.

The dog will not know that you are the alpha, therefore you will not have control. The dog could end up hurting you or worse someone else. Don't let your dog get put down becaue you weren't training it properly.
