we blame God when he allows bad things to happen, yet do you think that God should help us when we live certain sinful lifestyles, such as getting drunk, getting high, having pre-marital sex, etc. and at the same time expect God to protect us, I'm afraid it doesn't work that way.

No, I blame the people that caused it all, like Dubya and his cronies. Suffering is a state of mind anyway. A one-armed immigrant worker making $15 a day working the fields is happy when his children laugh, but a prissy soccer mom in her Mercedes SUV thinks her day is ruined if her triple-Venti-decaf, sugar-free, vanilla-soy-latte (I heard this ordered once, no kidding) has whipped cream on it.

What I find interesting is that after a devastating hurricane rips an entire city to pieces, what's the first thing the survivors say?

"We're so thankful that God was watching out for us!"

Like THEY were the special ones? The Lord only saves those with less than 12 teeth? They never think that God might have SENT the hurricane in the first place, do they?

No way, because God only does GOOD things for you, and saves all the BAD things for those OTHER people!

No, I don't blame God for suffering. I look to Him for help. If a person is living a sinful lifestyle God still offers some protection, but there will be no blessings. As for natural disasters I have mixed feelings. On the one hand I believe these are just the results of living in a fallen world, and on the other I think God is warning us. Either way it all relates back to sin. God help us.

No personally I don't blame him because we Are the responsibles for everything that happens not him, To me has has mercy on us all, As for Hurricane Katrina yes I heard a lot of people blaming god and in other cases even cursing him but I think that what happened was global warming, They should blame society for not taking care of nature, I mean global warming is possible and one cause is the heating of the water in which evaporates quickly and becomes a storm or a hurricane, and we are to blame not god,But that's my opinion.

NO, i blame man acting on his lower nature ( his mind ) without seeking the guidance of The Almighty. After all, when will mankind realize that we were given free will

No, man should be blamed, but not for what you listed above.

How about poverty, hunger, homelessness, war, slavery, child prostitution, etc...

These are the real problems, what you've listed is quite trivial.

Man should be accountable for the problems of this world, He should not blame any fictional deity.

there are things that happen where we have a responsibility to step in and help out to keep others from hurting. We are responsible to do what we can to end suffering.

NO ! No God (of most religions)is not responsible for the actions of man , and his help does not come automatically ... for a believer his help comes from the strength of your faith in him ...

I believe suffering is the cause of people's harmful, selfish actions. If we treated others and the environment with altruism instead of selfishness, things would improve immensely.
