No question the Lincoln is way more car. And for the above poster, the Z is based on the 6/Milan platform. Also, the Nav system in the Z was voted best by JD powers in 2006, edging out the Lexus system. The TSX is a spruced up Honda civic. To all the domestic doubters & haters- when are you going to stop bashing the domestics for no reason and give them a chance?! Honda & toyota make good cars but by no means are they superior to us. Look at all the recalls toyota just had plus the sludged engines. Honda just reacalled 36,000 civic hybrids for stalling, not to metion the accord for airbag problems. Maybe some people should move to Japan!

I'm not sure about performance, but the NAV system in the Acura is way cooler. It can display real time traffic data. The MKX is based on the Ford Edge, which has been called un-refined. The Acura is based on the Honda CR-V, which has been praised. The Acura will have a better resale value, no doubt.

Edit: I was reviewing the MKX, which is based on the Edge, and the RDX is based on the CR-V. The MKZ is a car. The person below is correct. The MKZ is based on the Mazda 6 / Volvo S40. If you like the Lincoln, you should also look at the Volvo, it will have a better resale value. It shares many of the attributes that the Lincoln shares.

I do not hate American cars. I have a GMC Yukon. American cars, however, tend to have lower resale values, because they sell too many cars to rental companies, which tend to flood the market after two years. Japanese cars also tend to me more reliable than American cars, and American cars tend to be more reliable than German cars.

I prefer the MKZ because of the optional AWD, plus the new 3.5L with 6 speed automatic was just rated as one of the top 10 engines by Wards Automotive for being smooth and responsive.

Plus I like styling, which for me the TSX just doesn't have much of anyways. And have you listened to the THX stereo system? WOW

ask yourself this, which car would you prefer a taurus or an accord. both of these cars are dressed up versions. tsx will certainly resell for a lot more. lincoln, with their wallets hurting will probably try to give these cars away with rebates. as far as performance, i'd say the V6 torque is better than any 4 cylinder. Handling will be acura's domain, hands down. lincolns rides like boats.

to the posters turning this to a patriotism issue, get a life. stop begging for patronage. and if i move to japan, 58 american workers will be unemployed.

MKZ, definitely. TSX is way too old to be good, even if it is Japanese. MKZ has a brand-new powertrain that should give it just enough boost to put it at the top of the upscale sedan list, since the Zephyr was already third in Consumer Reports.

Don't get a TL any older than 2004. They have transmission failure issues. But they fixed the problem with the 04 models. RSX is sporty and will not seat 4 comfortably. TSX is a nice sized sedan and is a 4 cyl. TL is more of a larger luxury sedan, but its sporty and fast. It is a 6cyl. The TSX is more like the TL then it is like the RSX. The RSX is vastly different - smaller, sportier. The TSX and TL are both sedans. The TSX is usually a better buy then the TL because it has a smaller engine. You need to drive the 3 different cars. You'll either like the RSX or you won't. The TSX and the TL will be different, too. You'll get a better idea of which of the 3 you like if you drive them.
