Is it true that they can mess with ure health in the long run?

I've had my lip piercing for 8 yrs now and have never had any problems with it.

Can't imagine that metal hitting the front teeth can be a good thing. To each their own, but when I see lip piercing, I automatically envision someone attaching a leash to it. In winter, it can't be too comfortable.

Over time, there can be gum recession or minor damage done to teeth, but depending on where the piercing is exactly located and what type of jewelry you have it in, damage can be greatly reduced.

Put it this way: my son changed his college major from kinesology (sports medicine) to plastic surgery....and may even go one further into orthopedics!!!
Why is logical: The cool "zooped-up fashion statements" in footwear are going to bring SCORES of thousands nation-wide in foot doctor offices. People looking soooo hot w/ piercings now are going to crowd plastic surgeon offices as well.....and my son is wanting to cash in!!
I'm no medical professional.....but I think he's right.

yes. gum disease, gingivitis, they scratch the enamel off your teeth, they could potentially rot A LOT SOONER. make your gums sore. they will increase your spit production as well. google it, learn more. but dont get me wrong, they are hot!

they wear away tooth enamel and can damage your gums, but they look soooo good

they CAN give you oral problems, but most people dont experience any problems from them.. if you want one, go for it.. theyre hot.
