If they are disabled, how did they get to your door? What kind of disability are we talking? And I'm here to tell you from experience disabled people are cons too and then there are cons that pose as disabled. So the answer is, if I didn't know them then probably not. If they got to my door in the first place they may not need help anyway.

I believe that as americans and humans we should help each other especially a disabled person. I have a friend who is crippled from polio and has been all his life . Even though hes about twice my age i go see him all the time. Its easy to not care about others but you never know you could be in a car wreck and get all crippled up and wish that somebody would help you or come visit you . The problem with being me for me is eventually it will come back to you . Not to preach but you dont have to be religious to be a good person you just need to be a understanding human being.

Before the hurricane: yes
After the hurricane: no, I would look out the window and ask through the door if I can call someone or the police for them, never have I seen a small peaceful city go so quickly down the drain with crime.

No, because for all I know, he/she might be asking for help to pay for his/her drug addiction, to purchase a 50" plasma TV or to make a down payment for his/her second home. I don't truly know why he/she needs the money. He/she even might be distracting me at the front door while his/her accomplice breaks inside the back door to rob. I see these sort of things happening all the time in the news. If I really want to help somebody, I would first find out whether he/she really needs it or not. Besides it is my hard earned money.

Yes I would help them since I was raised by my disabled mother and I have learned by her and her friends that it is difficult for them to ask for help(since they like any Independence they can have). If you close your door on someone needing help Carma will come knocking

I would help anyone regardless of their abilities or lack thereof. As someone said I wouldn't give out personal information, or allow anyone in my home. I would offer my portable phone, give them a can of gas, call 911, or a taxi, or change a tire. Hard to answer without knowing what kind of help you mean. I wouldn't pay their bills or buy them a plane ticket.

Disabled or not, I tend not to trust strangers. I doubt I'd even open the door.

Of course I would help them. Helping can be as simple as calling for assistance. It really would depend on the situation.
