God gave us a free will. He also knows my future. So the two will go together for me, if that what fate is.

Freewill for sure
Freewill and fate just don't mesh. If God exists - then he isn't omnipotent. If he exists he doesn't know the fate of each persons existence. Freewill means everything is random. People like to think their existence is fated. People need to believe in fate to make them feel more secure but that doesn't mean it true. If there was a God that knew our fates before he even created us- then why go thru the motions? If God can imagine something in his minds eye and see it all the way to its final conclusion -then it serves no purpose to create it in the first place-that's redundant and purpose-less.

Freewill and fate are two different things, first of all. We have freewill, but that does not mean we can change fate. What will happen to us is what fate has in store for us. We have freewill but that doesn't mean we will or can change those things that will happen to us.

Freewill and fate. I don't think the two need be exclusive. A mix of the two helps me see life in a much more coherent way, as coherent as life as we know it is supposed to appear!

Fate is a predetermined plan that happens to a person. If we can reshape the definition of fate to be what Christians call foreknowledge or predestination, then that is my pick. We do have free will, but, amazingly enough, God knew what my free will decisions would be. He planned it all before time began.
That is hard for us to comprehend, but an infinite God is quite capable.

Free will because I make my own decisions. I'll never understand why people debate this.
How could there be fate with an 'illusion' of choice. Choice is choice.

Free will because I have the power to change that what I want to change, fate dose not give me that.

Many say everything is written and cannot be changed.
Many things will eventually happen if one stays on the path they are on. But if one turns from a destructive path, what was inevitable, will be no more! That's Free Will.
