as you can see, you will probably get many answers for this question. i have been to china 4 times and just to round things out, i take chinese money and divide it by 8. so 8 yuan is approximately 1 u.s. dollar. and you don't have to have your dollars changed into yuan because if you go to an atm in china, i use the bank of china, you take your atm card and it will give you yuan and a receipt to prove you got it. you can get 2500 yuan twice a day from the atm, good luck........please notify your bank or credit union that you are going to china or else they may think someone stole your card and might shut it off.
