Yup and so are jobs! All of those nurses work together AND the doctors too. Oh my gosh and have you heard about the teachers all working in the same school like they are soooo good.
All those stinking Baptist go to the same church or other Baptist churches, you know they are all alike!

No. Even the most religious people are never completely separated from people who have different beliefs. No matter where you live, where you work, where you shop, you're going to run into people with different religious beliefs. And we all manage to get along pretty well - we're not fighting each other like Sunnis and Shias fight in Iraq. So religion isn't segregation because (in this country at least) it doesn't provide any legal or even social method of strictly seperating people.
The closest thing we have to religious segregation might be monastaries. But there it's voluntary - no on is forced to seperate him or herself away from the world unless he or she wants to.

Christianity is certainly segregated. There are those going to Heaven and those going to Hell. The big thing with this type of segregation is that people have a choice unlike those with darker skin had with where they could sit on a bus.

Yes, exactly! Divide and conquer the masses! This is how it has been done for thousands of years, to keep those in power in power by keeping the nations on their toes against 'enemies', which are just different from them and propagana is spread against these misunderstood foes. This way there always need to be wars, there always have to be commanders and a military, and there also needs to be separate 'nations', which are really just gang territory effectively. Cartels decieve the nations, and lie to you constantly under a barrage of delusions and propaganda (this being a capitalist country the best way to keep money out of the pockets of the masses is to bring out 'new and improved' devices all if the time). Keep people preoccupied and incontent with things... With religion you are taught not to question authority but to have 'faith'.. In my opinion about certain things, this 'faith' can be understood as being delusional. Most religions say you should kill people who see things differently from you, and respect/obey government. Almost all religions say the same things and have virtually the same morals bar a few, they also often restrain new thought schools and scientific ideas (especially back in the days of the Spanish Inquisition). and you may concur that they are an ancient developed tool to herd the masses into thinking and behaving the way that they want you to. Some of the prophecies may have been written as a play-book on what the governments are going to do, in order to seize control, etc, the believers allow it to happen as they believe it is divine will.. Look at the end-timers, wanting trouble in the Middle-East for example! They'd love the prophecies to come true and 90% of mankind to die.. It's just crazy.. Shame on you Americans for voting in Dubya, who follows this very very dangerious train of thought.. And having a leader claiming to be a tool of God is nothing new either, it just helps to get the followers into backing them.
I think we are being controlled by an elite which controls the military, the government, the big corporations, the banks, the education system, and the religions (Vatican, etc) at the very highest levels, they changed the Bible (KJV, to suit them as they saw fit). They are controlling these conflicts and make sooo much money from selling weapons to both sides. It's come to the peak of extreme: two blood cousins and members of the Order of Death (Skull & Bones society in Yale Uni), George W. Bush & John Kerry, being put up as apparant rivals in the 2004 presidential campaign.. You say you live in a free country.. This ignorance astounds me, the MAJORITY of US presidents have been high-level members of the Freemasons (33rd degree), including George Washington.
Stop thinking inside the box, and see that we are all the same really, with 99.99% of the same DNA we are all effectively 'brothers & sisters'. We should stop fighting and warring amongst ourselves and take out these corrupt leaders at the top, put them in prison for the rest of their natural lives for starting wars and causing the deaths of thousands of innocent lives. Personally I think we need a world-wide revolution. ;-)

Good question. Is discriminating against people who discriminate still discriminatiwing? A better way to phrase it when addressing religion would be: in order for one to be truly tolerant (as those who are anti-religion claim to be) must one also tolerate intolerance? While I guess one must tolerate intolerance in order to be truly tolerant (mouth-full), I don't think being tolerant is what is going make our society last and continue to grow in a positive way. Here's an analogy: Kid A is in a gang called the Sharks and they believe everyone outside their gang is evil. Kid B is in a gang called the Jets and they believe everyone outside their gang is evil. Kid C is not in a gang and thinks that it's wrong for kids to join gangs that discriminate against others. Is Kid C discriminating against Kid's A and B?? Of course he is, but with good reason. The difference is Kids A and B are discriminating because an ancient book told them to, and Kid C is discriminating because he wants society to be a better place.

Yes, but we are doing it to ourselves, rather than having it imposed upon us.
