In my class...and we have said hi now and then and we smile at each other in class...but I wouldnt excatly consider him a friend...so how do I get him to noctice me enough to want to come up and talk to me?!

also, in addition to the answer already given, you might slip him an "anonymous" (but not to anonymous, if you know what i mean, i.e., you want him to know its from you) note. nothing to heavy, just something saying you think he's good looking or something. have fun

If he is avoiding then impressing then he doesn't like you, but he's most likely not doing that, its just in your head. By what you wrote he likes you. TIPS: when he smiles at you, smile back but keep your head in between the floor and him and (that is if you have a killer smile). During lunch very rarely just look at him, not gaze, but look behind and behind you have ever looked, and if he looks back smile a slight smile for 2 sec. and then look away and talk with your friends. Try to drop hints that you like him every week or so because, being an expert, I think he likes you just as much as you like him.

Don't kill yourself. You do your best to look good and to be socialable. If he likes what he sees, he will ask you out. Don't be in a hurry. If he is shy, you could ask him for class notes or info on a game. If he is not shy and after a month he still hasn't noticed you , he probably won't.

Keep increasing the length of eye contact and smile even more. It'll work, unless he's not approaching you for another reason.
