I drive a ranger for a work truck. It's your clutch, mines in the shop now for the same thing. They are junk. Tried to get the boss to let me drop a V8 in, he wouldn't go for it. Bummer.

if your ranger has high mileage it could be that your tranny is going.......when its cold the transfluid will thicken up meaning its harder to shift untill it warms up.... or you could be low on transfluid
