I did not misunderstand. This is the exact scripture. Luke 11:23

"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters."

I'm on the side of jesus. I try to be the best that I can be. And sometimes that's all we can do.

We don't know for a fact that Jesus said anything of the kind.
We don't know for a fact that Jesus ever actually existed.

To take the words of the Bible as if they are literally true, literally exactly what was said word-for-word is not just ridiculous, it borders on insane.

The Bible has been translated, mistranslated, misinterpreted thousands of times in thousands of ways by thousands of people who may or may not have had 'God' on their side.

I find it sad that people are putting so much faith into such a deeply flawed book. And that they get so mad when the rest of the (rational) world doesn't.

Only a sith deals in absolutes...

Corny star wars one-liners aside - I'm disappointed that Jesus who I'd thought was quite a wise liberal would say something so stupid.

Very well then. I'm against him.

I think perhaps you misunderstood. That’s not what he said or meant:

LK 9:49.50

John spoke up, "Master, we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop because he is not with our group."

But Jesus said, "Don’t stop him, because those who are not against us are working with us."

JN 10:16

"And I have other sheep not of this fold. I must also tend to them. They shall hear my voice and there shall be one fold and one shepherd."

I am on humanity's side. Jesus of Nazareth was just a human being so I don't put much stock in that statement.

He also said, "Many will say Lord, Lord on that Day. Didn't we do many great things in your name?"
And Christ will say, "I never you!"
What do you think that means?
It means God looks past the few they save to those they turned away with their self-righteous condemnation!
DON'T DO DAT!
