The best place to find accredited pups of any breed is through the kennel club. The UK kennel club has a search engine for potential buyers to identify specific breeders of pups and whether they have animals currently available. You can access this engine at the following link. Just type in "newfoundland" as the breed and then pick the area of UK you'd like to search.

The Newfoundland Club is an excellent place to start.
I'm afraid that The Kennel Club are pushing their "accredited breeders scheme" at the moment and there are certainly people on that list that I know and would not recommend buying a puppy from. There are also a lot of good people who only have a litter once every 2, 3 or even 4 years who are not prepared to pay The Kennel Club the annual fee.
You will probably have to wait. It is worth waiting for a good pet rather than taking whatever is available, just because it is. You should expect a good breeder to interview you. If they don't then they don't care where their puppies are going and consequently will not give you help and support. If you don't feel right about the breeder don't buy.
We had a litter (not Newfoundlands) 3 years ago and we still get photos and Christmas cards from the pups. It's lovely

Hi, I'd also recommend the Kennel Club's Puppy Register as a good place to start looking as any puppies listed there will be registered, have free pet insurance & should come with an information guide from a breeder who has complied with the Kennel Club code of ethics:
http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/384
Or you could try contacting one of the breeders on the Champdogs site - contact information is available free of charge & I believe that all puppies advertised will be KC registered plus there are quite a few litters there at the moment:
http://www.champdogs.co.uk/guided/all_newfoundland.html
ePupz is a great site, it's searchable by area & gives you some idea of the price of a puppy - however you do have to register to get the contact details - it's free if the adverts are older than five days but for current adverts (less than five days) you'll have to pay a one-off fee of £4.99 to get the contact details:

Good luck

There is a great site called Epupz that lists hundreds of puppies for sale in the uk.we have a newfoundland girl ourselves and they are the best dog you can have but please make sure you do a lot of research before buying a newfie as they are not your average dog and you need to weigh up the pros and cons and make sure your lifestyle is suited to owning one of these dogs.

Only buy from a reputable breeder who health tests their dogs before breeding. Contact the Newfoundland Club for details of breeders.
