The pennies in a can method does work. Then get him to sit after he has abandoned the jump and give him a treat when he does. He will soon associate a treat with a quiet greeting.
Or get a sport whistle and give it a quick blast as he goes to jump up. The whistle is easier to carry around.

Well, I certainly hope you do play with him sometimes. If he's tired, that will go a long way toward curbing his over-exuberance at seeing you. To solve this problem, in addition to exercizing him more, make sure there's no reward with jumping on you. He's probably doing it because he wants attention from you and to interact with you. So as soon as you see him and he's bounding toward you, turn your back. If he jumps up on you yell no and push him down. When he's calmed a bit and stopped being jumpy, turn around and give him affection and praise. Hopefully he'll learn that jumping doesn't get him any loving or attention, but being calmer does.

Leave a leash attached to his collar. Make sure it's long enough where at least 2-3 feet drag on the floor. If he starts to jump, step on the leash. It's pretty much a "self correction", but still hold your hand open towards his face and give him a firm "NO JUMP" or "OFF" command. Keep some treats in your pocket..... when he's corrected and sits or stays off, give him a treat. It's a pain, but it worked for my jumper.

Since you have a husky, I really would advise a trainer. Actually, I advise a trainer for any dog, but huskys can be stubborn and get aggressive. Short of that, put some pennies in a can and shake it by his head every time he jumps up as you say "no jump". I also put my knee up so when a dog jumps toward you, his chest hits your knee.

As the animal starts to jump up on you, turn sideways and either extend your leg or lean over and with your hip give a body block so that the dog never even gets her paws on you. You see, once she has her front paws on you, she already got what she wanted (she won and you lost).
When the dog has all four feet on the floor, immediately squat down and give her attention. She will soon learn that by sitting quietly with all four feet on the floor she will get what she wants.
