If your hair is not too curly Sunsilk straighten up should work. I have wavy hair and i use it, and it works for me.

You could get a perm, called a relaxer. It is more damaging than the iron, but it lasts months after 1 application

Chemically straignting hair can abundandly damge your hair.
I say towel dry your hair. Lightly blow dry and youll see that it naturally straightens you hair. Plus, wash your hair every two days. The natural oils keep your hair straight.

Well u could try:
Shower
Dry with a paper towel(don't rub)
Comb hair through
Blow dry immediately(keep it as straight as possible with a comb)
Also I've used olive oil on my hair right before I dried it! just a dab about a nickle sized dab on my palm, rub hands together and run hands through hair!
It may not be as straight as before but its straight.
