well frget the part about "proper form" its just i am writing a paper and I am off to a good start but I am stuck!
here is what I got so far!

Oh, have you ever been down Waterfront Way
That leads to yonder beach
A few will walk this trail
To find the dreams you will reach

One girl took that road
By the name of Bess
With her was her true love, Joseph
Who loved her nonetheless

"Proper form with the four line stanzas"? I may be able to help, as I have written stuff like this before, but what do you mean by that?

I believe it's medieval not middlevil.

You may want to try some Internet searching- try
The Song of Roland (for example). Also The Song of My Cid
(El Cid). These are medieval epic poems. That should get you started.
