Stop wasting your time, write for a grocery store, or something that people want to read.

...it is a great idea...there are some out already but...just make sure yours is different in comparison, it might be a good idea to get one and read...see how comprehensive it is, if good products and information is listed along with reasons why...(I am a black young woman with curly, wavy, thick, long, unruley hair ... my hair grade and texture is very unique from what some may assume) and I read little tid bits of hair books every time I stop in a bookstore...because I want to know what exactly is good for my hair and why my hair does some of the things it does...you know what I mean...don't just list products, list ones for specific isolated hair types, tell people why our hair is frizz prone, or so dry feeling...really try to teach about the hair and what it needs to be healthy...include lots of pictures, maybe even experiments...you know close up pictures of the same hair type, maybe one side of the head washed with a specific conditioner...and the other side washed with a shampoo you recommend...visuals add "the icing on the cake" so to speak...be creative and for a cover and title, choose wisely...b/c that is what will make folks either pick up your book instead of someone else's or pick up you competitor's...use pictures from all different ethnicity's, really try to reach everyone...I say that because some of these books I picked up, I didn't purchase b/c there were no faces like mine in them...which lead me to beleive that maybe their recommendations can't help "my kind of hair"...GOOD LUCK!

...you know what else...send some free copies to people in high places that can get your book the recognition it should deserve...and remember don't count out "my hair type"...people always ask me am I mixed and am I indian...NO, I just have the hair that God gave me...and there are so many girls just like me who don't exactly know what works for our hair and why our hair acts the way it does...just keep in mind alot of people need to be informed because they have what some may see as biracial hair other than as you mentioned "white moms"...

Yes i do!!! I am bi-racial and it took me years to figure out what went well with my hair. My white mother wasn't ever sure exactly how to do it and I had to figure it out on my own...But, I think it would be hard to write a book about bi-racial hair because all of our hair can be so different...Good Luck!!!

I am a white mom with a mixed little girl and I have no problem doing her hair. I wouldn't have a use for it but I'm only one person!

I'll admit that I don't make a point of hanging out at salons, but I don't think I've seen such a book. I say give it a try.

I think it would be a good idea. Are you only dealing with black/white hair?

Yea, that might sell. You would have to make sure you advertize the right market.
