depends on insurance company but i don't think any insuracy company covers abortion i think that is considered elictive unless you have to medically get it like a dnc.

That depends on the insurance plan. Mine didn't cover anything. You'll have to check with your health plan to find out what their policy for abortion is. Some will cover ONE abortion but no more. Some will cover only in the event of complications during a "normal" pregnancies. Some won't cover if the recipient is under a specific age and some don't cover abortions at all.

Although I'd never advise an abortion... this and every other medical service is up to your individual policy.
Some may cover it 100%, others may not cover it at all. Our old insurance covered 50%, I wasn't happy bc I felt it should cover $0 but that's another story. Some may also cover $x or cover something after a deductible is met... every policy is so different, there's no basic answer.
I can tell you that Public Assistance (Medicaid) will NOT cover voluntary terminations (abortions) at all. That is MI, at least.

Try re-posting the question listing the kind of insurance coverage you have, or adding details to the original question.
Also, list the state you live in-- some insurance companies do not offer this kind of coverage in certain states because they worry about losing the business of anti-abortion (pro-life?) people.
I have worked for several insurance companies, although more familiar with life insurance and finance than medical plans, but chances are I could get you the overview pretty quickly and you just look under your specific policy or plan.

It depends on which insurance you have and how far along you are. For example, I used to have BlueCross Blue Shield and I remember that they covered an entire first trimester abortion.
Check out the Allison Fund for assistance in obtaining an abortion if you need some extra funding: http://www.theallisonfund.org/
Best of luck dear

im prety sure insurance doesnt cover abortions unless it is to save your life due to a difficult pregnancy. if you just got knocked up and dont want to be insurance wont cover it because they only deal in things that are necessary. abortions unless your doctor says it will save your life are not under the necessary list. so you will have to pay full for it (atleast im pretty sure). they arent nearly as expensive as surgery so you shouldnt have to pay much anyway.

Most insurances do not cover ELECTIVE surgery. You speak to your insurance company and tell them if this is a medical reason for the abortion, and be sure to have the reason, ready to fax or to mail to them. If you are having an abortion because it is a choice of your own, go to Planned Parenthood, and they should do it for free. DO NOT try to do it yourself, or go to any back alley doctor! Are you old enough to live outside your parents' home? If you are still living with your parents, especially, do yourself a favor and TELL them. They may ask you not to take this action, and truly want to keep the baby. (trying to outguess what they will or won't say is impossible.........you probably think you know what they would say.........but, I'm betting that if you tell them, you could be surprised.

some people..... you asked a question not for advice on abortions. Whats right for one doesn't make it right for everyone.
I say call your insurance company. They don't need your name just the name of company and plan number. It can be done totally anonymous although if you submit a claim they will know anyways.
gl to you

Depends on the insurance. Call them and ask. They will tell you straight out. Some its a set amount, others its a percentage.
