If your girlfriend told you that she was feeling kind of unwanted and unappreciated how would you react? Would you be compassionate to her problem, would you be defensive? Would you tell her she's overreacting?
The reason I ask is, I've been feeling this way towards my boyfriend for the past week and everytime I try to talk to him about it he gets defensive, to the point that he yelled at me on the phone last night and cursed. I started crying, but he kept yelling. And eventually he said "I gotta go" and left. Just left me hanging there crying. Is this something natural a guy would do in this situation or do I have myself a jerk of a boyfriend?
Also, if you knew that your gf felt unwanted, would you continue to ignore her or make more of an effort to make her feel wanted?

Sounds like he has something else on his mind, and/or might be hiding something. I'm not going to say I'm like most guys, because I'm far from it, but if my girlfriend told me she was feeling unwanted, and unappreciated, I would try and talk it out with her and try and figure out the reason why. The problem is, when people start to blame eachother for things they don't see that sometimes it is them, and only make the other person more wary. From the sound of it, your boyfriend has something he's unwilling to say, and he's getting more and more detached because he can't bring himself to just straight out say it. I might be wrong, but that's the impression I am getting. Hope this helps in some way.

He probably does like/love you, that's why he gets mad when you tell him you feel unwanted. But if he's not willing to actually fix the problem, then you should take off and get a new man, love. It seems to me that he doesn't want you badly enough to make sure you are happy, so find a man that will.

how long have you been with him? if you havent been together that long, then he is probably a jerk of a bf, if he knows that your feeling bad, then he should be a little more compassionate to your feelings. you may want to go over your relationship with him and see how many goods and bads you come up with..if the bads outway the goods, then you dont need him..you need someone supportive no matter what is going on..if he left you hanging, crying, then he has no compassion for you.. im sorry for your pain.. think about it..

Guys should not get upset, or defensive. If he really likes you, he would have talked about it and found a solution. You have yourself a real jerk. Sorry for being so blunt. Drop him.

Sounds your guy found a new woman.
And to answer the other question, I'd either say she where overacting if everything was normal, if I was cheating I'd probably be defensive, and do what he did.

i always let my lady know she is wanted --- i would never want to make her feel bad because of something i did or did not do --- he is being very unkind to you --- you should be able to talk out any problems if you cant then the relationship is in trouble anyway
