For life? I'm indifferent toward life, though. All of us were put on here "for a reason." What is the reason, to benifit other humans?
For happy moments? We have sad, too, and most of the time it isn't because of our sins.

Why did he create us, anyway? Did he get lonely or something?

God was probably just created by the Israelities to explain human beings, and "being punished for our sins" to explain life's downhills and to keep their society docile and peaceful.

Since He created EVERYTHING, we should thank God for AIDS and cancer and terrorism and murder. Infanticide and genocide. Leprosy and serial rapists etc. etc.

Me, I thank God I'm an atheist.

I was going to say something not so flattering, but then the Lord reminded me that I used to think the same way you are thinking now, except I wasn't indifferent, I hated God. I thought He was the biggest screw up in the universe. Then one day, when I was at the lowest point of my life, He revealed Himself to me as the One who loved Me and died on a cross so that I could inherit eternal blessings. That was 36 years ago. I have loved Him ever since.
I pray He would reveal Himself to you.

God created us for his pleasure and glory. We should thank him for giving us life. We should thank him for taking human form and being spit upon the people he created and dying a slow death for OUR sins. We should thank him for holding back the evil that he does. Earth is paradise compared to what hell will be like. I spent most of my life being a self centered prick. Only now do I realize how unjustified my actions were towards God.

Colosians 1:16-For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

We thank God cuase without Him there would be no universe.

Just read the Bible and your questions will be answered. Those that have not read it call it a "story" or a "fable".

I use to balk at it all till I read it. Now I understand it.
