believe on the name of the son of God;that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the son of God. Also in another scripture, romans10:9, that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine part that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:10 for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Does anybody know any more scriptures that can tell me how to get to heaven?

John 3:16 "For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
John 3:17 "For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved".

Only a lifetime of full and active participation in the work, worship, sacraments, and devotions of the only Church Jesus ever founded, can provide you with the assurances you seek.

The Bible itself is wonderful, but it doesn't provide all the things that many people like to think it does.

If that were the case, God could have saved hmself a lot of trouble, and simply left us a book ... instead of a living Church.

While the scriptures are indeed the inerrant word of God, we have no assurances that our interpretation of the scriptures is the correct one.

God provided divine asurances only to the Church he personally founded, and if you can't accept that fact, based on the scriptures and on faith, than what little faith you have probably won't be enough to save you, either.

That is the problem with Christianity isn't it. Just tell me how to get to heaven and screw everything else. This religion is so self serving. Here is one for you:

Do Not Give In to Temptation.

Isn't that what heaven is? A temptation? Believe in Jesus as your savior and you will have eternal life. How contradictory.

Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

just like once we are saved we need to continue to live for God. for the Bible talks about backsliding. some say once saved always saved. however the Bible tells us some will backslide. it talks about it for a reason.

Yes, all of them actually. Once you've accepted Jesus you need to simply read and learn all you can of the Lord, make it a daily practice.

...Romans 10:9 has a typo...

1.) confess with your mouth
2.) believe in your heart---this one is the one that gets most people, even those that call themselves Christian, but they don't remain Christian...because they never fully believed in their heart.

"In the same way, faith by itself is dead if it doesn't cause you to do any good things" James 2:7

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter" mathew 7:21

Read Mathew 25:31+, it describes JEsus' judgement on us.

"For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in...."Mathew 25:35

John 5:24
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
