The main difference is that in a dream you have no guidance. In a vision you will have a guide to show and help you understand what you have seen. That guide may very well de different for some than others but it will be clear to those who have them which they have had.

Dreams are mainly non spiritual;God can give you a spiritual dream but majority of the time dreams are something from our mind

Visions: in the context of God is what God moves to attain for.

i believe visions are more like hallucinating,u can be awake and still have visions
