We've been dating for a little while and she enjoys drawing, although she hasn't done much lately. I hope to get her something to encourage her to get back into it, but I know nothing about art. Any suggestions?

Go to an art store, tell one of the associates your situation. They can point you in the direction of some basic supplies. Buy her a bunch and put them together in a basket/box/whatever. Surprise her with it.

A book , I appreciate art and love looking at books, for instance if she draws scenery like mountains and trees , find a book that compliments the art she is most likely to enjoy creatively.
All kinds of neat books too , everything from advertisement and Caricatures to Water color and oil painting.
Buying supplies might actually put pressure on her to be creative , the book hopefully will inspire.

Take her to an art gallery then to dinner....Give her a gift card to an art supply store (after the trip to the gallery her interest in drawing will be rekindled)...Let her know how much you enjoy her drawings/watching her draw!!!!

Go to a paint store, and get her just a bunch of random drawing stuff she should enjoy it.

Enroll her in an art class in your local community, or area. Check with local art stores/studios to see if they have classes, better yet take one with her.

anything that doesn't have to do with art. She can buy that art stuff for herself if she wants it. It's the thoughtful gift that you give to show her the woman she is to you that will make her happy.

get her a set of gel pens they have cool colors and look like paint and for added coolness they have special paper that only gel pen show up on
