Trader Joes markets carry a vast assortment of fine cheese at much less the cost than any other store. The quality is great... so if you have a traders Joes in a city near you, it is worth the trip, not only for cheeses but for the wide variety of excellent foods that are unable to be found in most other grocery stores.

1. Where all depends on where you are located.
2. What kind of cheese dependson what you want it for.
Where I live we have
3. Publix (grocery store)sells really great Havari great for sandwichs or with crackers. 70% milk fat and totally worth it...
4. Mario Italian meat deli sells really great fresh mozzarella great for melting on just about anything.
5. Albertsons(grocery store) sells a smoky gouda that to dies for. great for crackers with meat my fav summer sausage also at albertsons. it's a good combo.
6. Munster. You can get just about anywhere. Great for sandwiches.
7. Parmesan always buy buy the wedge never pre-grated you loose a lot of flavor if it is pre-grated. Good for pizza, pasta, etc.
You can get this at a good italan meat deli.
The list goes on the best thing to do is go to you local grocery store and ask the deli person. Tell them what you are loooking for and what you are planing to use it for. When they make suggestions ask for a sample to find out if it is the flavor you are looking for.
IF they don't know find a new grocery store !!!
The people in the deli should know something about the products they are selling.
Never buy generic! If you want the best you must pay for the best!

If you want to find some really good cheeses from all over the world, go to www.igourmet.com. They have some fantastic cheeses, although the prices seem to be quite high.
