Would you rather live your lives by a set of rules that say, a satanist would live by...Harsh, evil, and hurtful... Or under the rules of Jesus, which are loving, understanding, and forgiving... You have to choose one or the other.

I would have to chose Jesus over the Satanist with hurtful practices. I do not believe that Jesus was the son of God, but I do think that he had some good morals and standards. They are good to live by, and they keep alot of people from getting hurt or into trouble.
ON THE OTHER HAND- Other religions, such as Buddhism for instance (the 9 noble truths) have sets of rules by which to live. Christianity is not the only good way to live!!

You should get your stories straight. Satanists don't harm anyone unless they are harmed.
I use to be a christian and all I felt was guilt. That religion made me feel guilty about every thought that came into my head. As an atheist, I believe I am free from that crap and I feel happier.
So, why does everything have to be "black and white"? There are no grey areas with you? I have to either choose a loving, understanding, and forgiving God that I've never seen and whose never done anything in my life to make it better. OR Satan, whom I don't believe in either....even though I may agree with some of their principles. I can't just be a non-believer? Because that's what I am. I choose neither.

First of all; Who says that christians are loving, understanding, and forgiving? Who says satanists aren't? I personally wouldn't, and don't live by the code of morals of either. The bottom line is that christianity and satanism are both organized religions that do not serve the best interests of man. They are mythological stories that have been handed down, translated, omitted, and elaborated upon by so many different influences that their true focus has surely been lost.

Satanists, at least members of the Church of Satan, are simply atheistic Libertarians. They don't have harsh or hurtful rules. As a gay man, I'd much rather live under rational rules than those that are set forth in the Bible and espoused by the majority of Christians.

But what is real? Satanist sounds more acurate. How do you expain wars? Is everyone that fights for our country a satanist b/c they wish to kill the opposing side? Army men are harsh and hurtful to the Iraqis. Yes, they are doing it for love of our country, but with love comes hate.

Actually, you're completely mistaken about what Satanism is. Satan to satanists isn't what you consider it to be. Rather, Satin is a symbolic figure, and "satanism" is more of a response against Christianity. So, If the question is whether I would rather live my life according to the bible, or according to the ACTUAL principles of satanism, then I would be choosing satanism.

Well, if it was that black and white, I'd have to go with Jesus. Fortunately there are more choices in the real world. In the real world go by my own rules which are even more loving, understanding, and forgiving then those of Jesus and have the addition of freedom and happiness. Remember that Jesus can be very unforgiving and hateful to people of other religions.

It's what you choose to believe I would rather like to know there is a better place (mentally) of people who aren't just about themselves (some christians ) It's all about the Golden Rule treat people like you want to be treated , even if you have to go first. Remember love thy enemy.
