is it a guy thing to say "im cocky" or can a girl say it too??????? does it sound weird when a girl says it?

I never heard of any guy saying it and I never said it myself either so no I wouldn't say i's a guy thing.

well it might seem wierd to people if you just say it, if you say it then you should have a reason why you said it. But it is not just a guy thing, alot of girls that i have come across always say it, but they then explain what their reason is. For example, if you say, I'm a cocky person like that", you should just say "becuase....then your reason, just try it and maybe it will all work out, if it makes you feel wierd than just practice getting used to it.

I've said I am cocky before.... I don't think it sounds weird; but the best thing to say may be "I have a chip on my shoulder" ;)

There is no sexual connotation to the word 'cocky,' so it should not be 'weird' for a female to say it. Cocky is simply being overly self-assertive or self-confident.

I think it sounds weird both ways. Try saying something like "I'm the Best"

girls sound weird when they say that
guys say it because they are supposed to be cocky, and most girls have very low self esteem, and dont look highly upon themselves, but there are some girls with high self esteem, and yet some, dare i say it? cocky girls

being cocky has nothing to do with a penis, if thats what ur thinking.
it means u have a huge ego, and think ur the sh*t.
girls can say it too.

no cocky just means your too into yourself.
i say it to my guy friends all the time and they just laugh. no big deal.
