An aircraft carrier is a floating city. So I am sure there are psychologists on board. Maybe even female ones. When the time comes, ask your detailer.

I served on the Enterprise (CVN 65) A carrier's medical department does include a mental health professional, but I'm pretty sure it is a psychiatrist. Females can serve in the surface fleet in all capacities. Woman can do anything in the Navy except submarine duty and special warfare (SEALS)

yes though it be a officer position, CVN are basically floating cities that include hospitals, so yes it can be a woman, only ship a woman can't serve on is a submarine and that is because it seems a woman was on a sub it go down with the woman not pregnant and come up pregnant, its true, my advice to you would to look into a NROTC program to better prep you and give you a good chance for being put where you want to be put after you graduate if your GPA is good enough

Yes and Yes. All carriers are now retrofitted to allow women to serve if they weren't built that way.
You would need at least a masters though I would think....
oh, and to those who don't know, CVN is the Aircraft Carrier designation.

I am former Army and therefore not familiar with "CVN," but there are women officers who are psychologists in the military.

most of them are Psychiatrists, not Psycologists. They would primarily be stationed at shore installations and not on sea duty. carriers would only have a few general practioners and maybe a surgeon.

Probably. I see no reason why a woman couldn't do the job.
