All I'm getting are vague, "you will be punished" responses. Why not get specific? Are you saying you have no idea what punishments God may impose on those who didn't follow his will??

No, really, is that what you're saying?

What they're really saying is this: First off, you don't seem to understand what the will of God is, so I'll tell you. God's will is God's word. So now your question becomes "What will God do if you don't obey the Bible? The answer is that you hinder God from blessing, leading and guiding you in this life when you fail to obey his word. After this life, the exact punishment God imposes for your disobedience is an eternity in hell. You asked, here's your answer.

The most severe punishment for those who reject/deny the love and mercy of the one true God, and His Son, Jesus, will be eternal separation from God. This separation will come after God reveals Himself to the non-believing soul.

Really, THAT'S the punishment that a person risks. Hope that wasn't vague in the least.

Sorry kid, but if I knew how God was to make you accountable I would be God. Its like if you commit a crime and have to go before the Judge, who knows what he will dole out to you in the form of punishment except the Judge. Lets put it this way, it won't be pleasure. God has a way of making the punishment fit the crime. You don't have to worry about it if you accept Jesus.

there is eternal life and then there is the opposite.Jesus said in john chapter 12:50and i know his instructions lead to eternal life.
but there is also a scripture a couple of verses
before that that says the lord has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts so their eyes cannot see and their hearts cannot understand and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them. he is talking about this happening because people were more afraid of what other people would think of them if they admitted they were having anything to do with Jesus. it says they loved human praise more than the praise of god. to me it wouldn't matter if there was a life after death or not i am at peace with where who i am now. i am free. i thought i was free before when i was slamming meth and oxycontin. and pounding down all the alcohol i could get. then i got clean and sober.did the college thing. blah, blah, i even did the religion thing for the first 27 years of my life, which made me want to slash my wrists. but it wasn't god, my higher power, it was a bunch of wrong information that made me mad at god. but it wasn't god it was the information. i have learned that god is in us. i used to be so up in my head with questions i finally melted down, into my heart.

God said in His word that there are consequences to not following God- the big one is eternal separation from Him in hell if you have not accepted Christ. If you are a believer and you chose not to follow, first of all, I tend to think you may not be a true believer- God said we will all be held accountable- we do not know what that may be , but be sure of the fact that it will, God is waiting to forgive you so that when you do face him he will see only Jesus.

That is happily not up to me. Work out your own salvation. If the Lord sees fit to punish you in some way- and I'm sure He would rather have you with Him than against Him- that is between you and Him. I don't want to be involved. If you're worried about it, why don't you go to the source and ask Him?

God teaches that there is only one unforgivable sin - and that is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. What that means if a person rejects the evidence and presence of God - there will remain separate from him eternally.
God is holy and pure and can have nothing to do with sin - so by our choice to sin (we all sin) we are separated from him. The only saving is through Jesus who paid the price we are not able to pay - he took our death in our place and overcame it with the power of life. We must accept this in faith to receive eternal life. The hard hearted will remain separated from God. And they will be in hell - because Satan will have them because of their lack of faith in God.
Those who say they do not know are not knowledgable - the word of God is clear.
The question is: Who do you say that Jesus is?

God's will is for all to be saved. If you choose not to believe God, then you will have eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire.

If you accept Jesus and don't do His will, you will get to Heaven (if you don't blaspheme the Holy Spirit), but your rewards will be taken away.
