what painkillers work well for back pain??

it realy hurts and i can get out of bed or a chair without having to slowly stand up. the pain makes the muscles in my lower back tighten up.

i dont know if i can take vicodin tho because my family hallucinates on codein and get bad headaches due to allergic reactions
