Since Jesus is God. God sacraficed himself to himself, so he could appease his anger at his own creation.

I think god sacrificed Jesus to show people that he means business. You know. I always leave the spiders that I kill around for a few hours to show their spider friends that I am not to be f*cked with. Look at the the world's reaction to the crucifiction. Big stuff. Point taken, G.

only humans have souls that need to be saved and only humans have free wills and only humans were made in the image of God. all other life forms will just die and decay.

ok, if he died to forgive our sins then god forgave our sin being "original sin" then why are people still baptized and children indoctrinated before they can think on their own?
