I am a christian, and have taken archeology. I have seen the other side, and it is convincing, but that is where faith comes in. I just believe that God created the world, and my beliefs cannot be shaken. The whole big bang theory is just that a theory. The devil is a coniving, sly, smart, evil and the bible says that he will decieve the whole world. His whole purpose is to prove there is no God. And that is what evolution is. It is your choice to believe what you want, but what happens if God is real, and there is a heaven and a hell. I don't want to take the chance and not believe and be wrong. Its to big of a risk to take. I am talking about you eternal soul after all. Where do you want to spend your eternity?

Honestly, I have not taken any advance classes but I have studied the subject and since you asked I would have to ask you how much have you studied of the arguments against things like the theory of evolution?
I just got finished posting an answer about carbon dating where it now appears that the latest techniques show that fossil samples are only thousands of years old and not 10's or 100's of thousands or millions of years. Here is the link that I provided.

This site has many more scientific articles that have been peer reviewed that demonstrate what has been true for all of the centuries that the Bible has been under attack.
A group of scientists conclude that something in the Bible is made up, like an ancient civilization. Then a few decades later some archaeologist is digging and they find proof that the Bible was right after all. That's how it always works. People can dispute what the Bible after enough time they find out that they were wrong and the Bible was right.

Haven't taken classes in Primatology and Archeology, but I did study Astronomy. Does Applied Physics count any? I believe science and I believe God. Is it possible that some genetic engineering back then could have screwed up those perfect evoluntionary charts? Honest answer now.
What does the Bible say - those animals were made AFTER THEIR KIND. Could it mean that those modern animals were made from the blueprint of animals that had existed before? What blueprints? - uh, DNA structure. Did you guys cover that possibility in Primatology and Archeology? Did you guys study about the several mass extinctions? Do you think its logical to hear one thing and automatically believe it?

Have you taken a class in Philosophy? Science (and math) are not factual. Just because everyone agrees that things are true, doesn't make them true. Is a circle really 360 degrees? If you look that up, you'll find out that it was just given that number because all of the numbers 1 -10 go into that number evenly accept 7. Science is someones theory, it's a guess that they made in hopes of proving something that they can't prove for sure. If you don't believe in God, then after you die, you'll get your proof.

You have faith in man over God? Lot's of people read the Bible cover-to-cover, it's a good book. What good is reading it if you don't get anything out of the words that are in it? God shows a true believer His truth in His time, not ours. God is real. Seek God with an honest heart and try to lay aside your assumptions.
P.S. I have taken all those classes...they are part of the indoctrination of college students under the guise of "general education." These indoctrination classes have to be taken so that a student can become more well-rounded. In other words, they are mandatory and you can't graduate college without them.

I have studied many different religions, and almost every science and i know with zero doubt GOD is real.
almost every religion has an evolution story; some say the earth sprung up, some say it was a big bang, others say it was an alien, if you read the Bible then you know it covers all of these things in Genesis. Church and science both try to ham-string each other over small details, but a careful evaluation of both clearly shows from the beginning all things evolved. we evolve everyday. all things evolve.

What is the point of this question? I've taken a course in Biblical archeology. Why do you think evolution entails atheism? How about a logic class for you?

Proof of evolution does not mean that God does not exist, and believers are not automatically creationists. I believe in God and think that he was responsible for evolution. People need to have an open mind on these things, not everyone takes the Bible literally.

i have actually studied quite a bit. and found some interesting things out. a lot of things that science says is truth when it is not. and a lot of stuff that they have done to try to prove there cases. like manipulate bones to show an ape that is half ape half man. and then admit what they did later. however they still keep there things as truth. just like i have read how they believe the earth was so many millions years old however they cant prove it. and how they said they found a bone that was millions of years old however the exact bone one the other side of it showed it to be only a couple hundred years old. i rather believe in God and i do were i dont have to lie to try to prove my case over something that has to lie and get caught and still claim to be true. not to mention if God was not true then there would be no real reason to fight so hard to prove him to not be true. and people would not get offended. but people fight so hard to keep God out of schools and everyweres. however if you believe in many gods those gods are ok to have. mcdonalds had posters up of different gods however they could not have the one true God that everyone believes in. so if people have to fight so hard to try to prove God is not real and they still cant prove it then he must be real.
i was asked by a co worker who believe in evolution. what if God is not real. i said he is. but for his sake i said let me see. first if God is not real and i am wrong then i wont know about it. for i will die and that is that. and how i am living i am more happy living for God then i was not living for God. i have more time with my family and i am just way happier. so even God was not real i am still glad i gave up my old life to live for him and dont regret it at all. but what if God is real. then i will know about it. i will be up in heaven with him and i would know i made the right choices.
then i asked him what if God is real. if he is right and there is no God he wont know about it. he will die being right but never know he was right. however if i am right and God is real he will know he was wrong.
so even if God was not real i still rather live for him then not for him. as my life living for God is much greater then without him. this is also how i know he is real.

Evolution is the truth. That does not prove that there is no supreme being. Some churches are filled with misguided *** holes that does not have anything to do with God. I hope your perfect and totally correct because I'm judging evolution on YOU and you alone. I hope your up for the task.
