could be many things but yes it sounds like you lack potassium. try eating 2-3 bananas a day, but you should see a doctor, low k levels can give you a heart attack and kill you

Muscles can have knots (trigger points) that make them tight which in turn put pressure on nerves and other things causing pain.
Molasses - a couple of swigs or Bananas 1 or 2 - both contain magnesium and potassium for muscles.
Try working with the principles taught in The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
I use a chiropractor and massage therapist with it

Doc will probably do a minerals, Electrolites, and hydration test to start....but with the stinging pain... will certainly do a neurological work up.

Sounds like nerve damage (the combo of pain and cramping) probably in the lumbar region of your spine. Go to the doc!!!

If you are doing extreme exercise.....stay hydrated!
If your doing a narcotics and cocaine mix...well.... Stop! That causes cramps, etc.
if your jumping, running, or causing some sort of impact on your spine.... you'll need to tell Doc.
Peace....I wish you the best

well i agree with the person who told you that you might have a potassium deficiency , because if i don't have enough in my system i will get bad cramps in my groin area, and calves,so i try to grab my toes and pull them toward me. also don't drink any milk before going to bed. i hope this works for you.

Don't mess around with Potassium. It is key to electrolyte imbalance and can be life threatening if you have too much or too little. Your doctor can check your electrolyte level (potassium is an electrolyte) and see if it needs to be adjusted. I would go to my family doctor first and have him refer you to a specialist if he thinks he cannot help you.

It could be a potassium shortage or restless leg syndrome. Not to frighten you at all, but I had a serious heart condition and my legs ached severly (not enough blood flow to them) so PLEASE get that checked. When mine still hurt from time to time I do yoga and that stretching really helps
