Perineoraphy- Stiching the perineum. Also a word coming from 2 greek words: perineum is the lower part of your body, between your legs and in a woman consists of her outer genitals and anus. Raphy in greek means actually stiching. During labor the gynecologist may decide that two small cut should be made horizontaly so that the exess stress won't rip vertically distroing the perineum. This does NOT hurt. Then after he/she will stich it back, that is a perineoraphy. In any other case that there is a slit in the perineum for any cause (weird or not so weird) the surgeon stiches it back up.

Simple, no? ;-)
