Corn Pone Pie

A versatile one-dish meal. Easy to substitute ingredients, amounts need not be exact.

Mix batter for cornbread (pkg mix is fine) and set aside.

In a cast-iron skillet, brown the hamburger meat with chopped onions, salt and pepper. Drain the fat.

Add one can of drained ranch-style beans. And/or one can of drained diced tomatoes. If you wish, you can also add whole-kernel corn. Stir well.

Pour the cornbread batter over the skillet mixture and pop the whole thing in the oven. Bake according to cornbread directions until cornbread is golden brown and cracks along the top.

If you don't have a cast-iron skillet, prepare on stove top as directed, then pour meat mixture into an 8- or 9-inch oven-safe dish before pouring cornbread batter on top.

Brown your seasoned hamburger meat. Add 1 cup diced onion and cook on medium heat until onions are transparent. Drain fat off. Add 1 package taco mix. Let cook in for 10-15 minutes. Add 1 can red beans, stir in. Add one cup grated cheddar cheese. Stir in 1 1/2 cups crushed totinos chips, stir in then immediately pour this over torn lettuce and diced tomatoes. Serve in salad bowls and top with Kraft Thousand Island Dressing.

Well you can try hamburger surprise. ALl you ahve to do is make patties with them small one's and then get cheese and whatever you want in your burger then put it on on side of patty then get another patty and put it on top and mess the sides together and when you bite on them all that flavor just pours out. Something sorta like a stuffed hamburger.

I have lots of children. I will brown onions, bell peppers and garlic in a smidgen of olive oil...when translucent, I add the hamburger meat. Once the meat is entirely cooked, add the mixture to some already cooked pasta package like, Alfredo and garlic, broccoli and pasta, etc....and add your own preferred seasonings. It is super easy, and you can also add veggies to it to make it even healthier.

Good cooking!
