Is it normal for babies to think they are going to fall, even when on the floor?(On they're changing mat). My son freaks when I take his clothes off. I can't take my hand away otherwise he throws his arms in the air, looks terrified and starts shreiking. He's about three months. Is this normal?

I have 4 kids and it's perfectly normal. It's part of developing a sense of selfpreservation. He's not so much afraid of falling as afraid of being away from his food source, caretaker, etc. It takes awhile for them to learn that you can't escape them, then he'll relax more.

Absolutely normal! Most babies hate having clothes off. They like to be snug and warm. Keep your hand on him for reasurance. This will pass.

He is not afraid he is going to fall. It is a startle reflex. When you take his close off he feels less protected, more exposed. Try talking to him in a soothing voice the whole time and try to keep your hand on him. He will grow out of it.

It's perfectly normal for a baby his age to feel this way. He will get past this in a few months.
