It depends on what benefits you both are on. I can't really tell by your question....SSI or SSDI?

If you're both on Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and your spouse dies, your benefit amount will change from the married couple ($934/mo.) amount to the individual amount ($632/mo.). The amounts I listed here are only the federal portion of SSI. Many states also pay an addictional amount.

If you're both on Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), if you've been married at least 10 years you are entitled to survivors benefits. Whichever benefit amount is greater, yours or your spouse's, that is what you'll receive.

All the best,

When my Dad died, they basically added the two together and divided in half. That was then what my Mom received.
