I hope you are exaggerating about him only being two inches long. Otherwise it might be a mouse.
My Chihuahua eats Science Diet which also has a kind for small breeds. The kibble is very tiny. I'm not sure I recommend feeding him soft food all the time. It would be very bad for his teeth eventually.
Try putting a bell on his collar so you know when he is near, to help keep you from stepping on him.

Seriously, your dog is 2 inches long? As in two digits on your finger, so 2/3 of a finger length??? Can you post a picture of this two inch long dog? Anyway, give it some wet food or make the kibbles soggy with some water. But a dog like that probably needs some special food, I'd think. I met two baby teacup chihuahuas once (and even they were longer than two inches by the way...) and the lady that owned them had to force feed them out of a toothpaste-type tube.

Well, there are special foods you can buy for smaller dogs, Do you research when you go to the store, the bag/box/can will say for smaller dogs, or you can try finding this food at a local pet shop more likely try there, get help and ask questions while in there, tell them about your dog, and they will help you find the right good for such a small pup...
Now the getting bigger part all depends on what kind of chihuahua you have, some don't get big, you can hold them in the palm of your hand. most likely her will stay this size if her is older then 1yr....
good luck!!

Your chihuahua is NOT 2 inches long!!! What kind of ruler are you using?!?! If he IS 2 inches long then he has just been born, and in that case, he WILL grow, or are you the same size you were as an infant??

If he is 2 inches long, than he has just been born. Dogs need to be with their mother until they are 8-12 weeks old. I have seen baby chihuahua's before, and they need a lot of care and attention to help them survive. They rely on their mother to teach them about the world. If this is infact true - get to a vet and keep them warm.

If he is two inches long then he was just born or he has something wrong with him. He could possibly have parasites which will eventually kill him unless treated by a vet. Take him to the vet ASAP!!!

If you chose a chihuahua, you chose a very small dog. So, if he grows, wont be to much. You can crush his food.
