Flyboy lives in Washington State and knows how depressing the rain can be in this area. However, Seattle does not get a whole lot of rain - only about 38 or so inches annually. So, sorry to all you who pounced on Seattle. You're wrong. In Washington State the rainiest area is on the Olympic Peninsula near the Hoh River. However, the rain amount there pales in comparison to a spot on the island of Kauai in the Hawaiian Islands. So, sorry to all you who dissed Washington State. You are wrong, too.

Well up here in Portland and Seattle we like to think it rains a lot.. and it does.. 9 months of the year.. but it only sprinkles. We rarely have what the rest of the country would call rain.

I've always heard it was Seattle, I don't know if its true though. I know it rains everyday in Hawaii, a small amount. So I do't know if you averaged the rain fall, it may be higher than Seattle.
