Depending on the type of leukemia, there are treatments that may result in cure. Cure rates differ depending on the type of leukemia and the therapy. Generally, acute leukemias are curable with high dose chemotherapy and sometimes with bone marrow transplantation. Chronic leukemias are generally less curable but patients can live for many years with the disease. In the case of Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia, a new oral drug, imatinib (Gleevec) has put many people into remission, but "cure" rates are still unknown. As you can see, it is difficult to give you good answers unless you are more specific about the type of leukemia.
Radiation is rarely, if ever, a treatment for leukemia, much less a curative one.

The treatment for leukemia is generally chemotherapy plus radiation therapy. Whether it cures leukemia or not, depends on the type of leukemia. Most childhood leukemias are curable with this treatment, whereas most adult leukemias get better but are not cured.
