I have had a lifelong interest in working with murderers, particularly serial killers. What sort of law enforcement careers should I be looking at?

You can become a true crime novel author. Like Anne Rule. If you have never read any of her books, I highly recommend them. She has written about many high profile cases. Her most popular would have to be "The stranger beside me". It's the story of Ted Bundy. She also has written about Gary Ridgeway, the Green river killer. She puts a lot of time and effort into her books. Very informative lady. She was at one time a lady sheriff up in Washington. Now, she is a very respected author giving speeches all over the globe. Good luck in what you choose to do.

I am a Criminology student at the University of Florida. I believe you should look into psychology instead of law enforcement. In law enforcement you don't really work with them, you work against them. In psychology you try to get into their minds. You try to rehabilitate them, or try to decide if they are even mentally competent to stand trial.
