I went out to start my car one morning & turned the key over & got nothing. It wouldn't turn over or click or anything. I had somebody give me a jump & my lights & radio & etc. came on but the car still wouldn't turn over. Just made some click sounds. Can anybody tell me if this is my battery or my starter?

You could have corrosion build up between the battery terminal clamps and the battery connections.
also,,check the positive cable from the battery to the starter.

HAve your battery tested you might have a dead cell. ALso have the cables going from the battery to teh start and ground check and cleaned. If it doesn't do nothing still even with a new battery. If it's gets started with the new battery and when you stop it it doesn't start again it's your genorator. But to see if it's your battery get a free put you a battery from their car in yours and if it doesn't start it's the battery. Try this free before you invest in a battery.

bad booster cbls or
booster cable connection was not good enough
try wiggling booster cbls on all 4 terminals
if that does not work could be loose or dirty battery terminal (probably on the dead battery)
could also be a bad ground on dead car
and 1 other thing, try charging the dead battery a bit before trying to start
all else fail take to mechanic

It didn't even try to turn over?? If there is no corrosion anywhere then have someone check your starter.

your battery died, start by replacing that. get one with at least 700 CCA (cold cranking amps). could be a weak starter.
