The whole Jesus thing is a hoax. The Bible says that Mary's child was SUPPOSED to be called "Emmanuel". There is no "J" in Hebrew or Greek, so he COULDN'T have been called "Jesus".

Joshua ben Joseph (Iesus, Jesus) is Jesus' real name using English letters. Christ (Greek word for Messiah) is a title, so it could be Jesus Christ or Christ Jesus.

God in English is YHWY, the name given to Moses. Allah is YHWY in Arabic. Both Allah and God has earlier other meanings.

I have an American name as well as a Chinese name. My parents gave me my American name and my Chinese students gave me my Chinese name. My American name uses Latin alphabet while my Chinese name use pictographs. Which name would I use in China? And which name would I use here in America?

Judea is a long way from Rome. From history, you will see that Judea, southern part of Palestine, was in the Syria province of the Roman Empire. Three hundred years earlier, Alexander the Great conquered it and Greek was the language used. The Hellene world spoke Greek, so the language of Syria province (including Judea) was Greek, not Hebrew. Non Jews as well as Jews spoke Greek. This is the reason why the New Testament is in Greek not Hebrew or Latin. As Christianity moved westward, Latin replaced Greek.

Jesus is the English form of his name, just as Hispanics named Santiago often go by the name Jimmy.

As for God, that is a descriptive word, not a name. However, I don't think that any god or goddess exists, so the question is moot as far as I am concerned.
